In the script “Do The Right Thing” I do believe that there is an indication of what the right thing to do is. The right thing to do is think before you speak, be mindful of others and the fact that they’ll have different opinions than yours. An example of this would be when Buggin’ Out believed that Sal should have black people up on this wall, along with the Italian Americans. This would not have been an issue if both parties didn’t have different feelings about the situations. If both people had just been mindful of each other’s opinions and feelings than they would have been solved the problem in a more sophisticated manner. Although the script doesn’t exactly say be mindful of others, it is an underlying expectation of everyone in the neighborhood.
